Krugersdorp cyclist Jan van den Berg completed this year’s gruelling 750km TransCape MTB Race that started at Knysna’s waterfront and finished in Franschhoek seven days later.

Riding in the solo men’s classification the former Rapport Tour star, who celebrated his 57th birthday during the TransCape, faired the best among the Krugersdorp participants in the race completing the whole event in 36:00:50; sixth in his category.
