Club ends season on a high

10 Awards were given to worthy players.

The Caxton Khosa Cricket Club ended the league programme on a high by winning the Presidents League for the first time in the club’s history.

The Premier League side finished second behind UJ while the remainder of the five sides entered in the leagues all finished third in their respective leagues.

At the annual dinner the following awards were presented:

• Player of year – Marcus dos Reis

• Batsman of year – Pieter Booysen

• Bowler of year – Marcus dos Reis

• Most improved bowler – Pierre Rossouw

• Young cricketer of year – JP van Rensburg

• Most promising cricketer – Marcus Ackerman

• Most improved player – Marnus Nel

• Fielder of the year – Juandre Ludick

• To a great cricketer – Divan Marais

• Chairman’s award – Kyle Shaw

Practices for the new season will start in late August.
