The West Rand Archery Club has a new home
You can now find the club inside the Hobby Park along Robert Broom.
The West Rand Archery Club has settled into their new home, and meet every Wednesday at 3.30pm.
Their primary focus is compound archery, although there are a few different styles. This sport can be enjoyed by people of all ages, and is not just a men’s sport.
“There are a lot of woman who do archery. We also see a lot of families joining archery to have more family time together,” said Simonn Dames from the club.
He added that archery can be a dangerous sport if the rules are not followed, this why it’s always good to get some basic advice from your local range.
The joining fee for the club is R200 once off, the annual club fee is R250, the annual range fee is R750 or R50 for any single day. Anyone interested in joining the club is more than welcome to join them on a Wednesday afternoon at one of their meetings.
