Great opportunity for young soccer and netball players

Local sport heroes Malefo Monnanyana and Oupa Makamole are once again hosting the Oupa Malefo Games in Swaneville, Kagiso this weekend.
The games will kick off at 10am on Saturday, 25 March and will end at about 4pm. at the Swaneville Sports Grounds in Sandpiper Road, Krugersdorp.
There is space for eight netball and eight soccer teams to join in the competitive fun. Entries will be charged at R800 per soccer team and R400 for netball teams. Players between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible to enter.

The winning soccer team will walk away with a trophy and R4 000 in cash, while the winning netball team will walk away with a trophy and R2 000 in cash.
“Soccer is a fun sport which gives players the chance to make good choices on the field,” said Malefo. “You have the chance to make the sport your own and express yourself to the fullest.”

The games give young adults the opportunity to show off their skills on the field and get the exposure they need to further their careers in each sport.
This is the third time these games will be held – and last year’s champions in soccer (Arsenal Master) and netball (Kagiso Flames) are waiting to be beaten.
