The club is especially proud of five young girls who impressed the judges during two of the competitions.

At the regional competition, Vignette Janse van Vuuren was awarded a gold medal for her vault and Keryn Kuret Coetzer a bronze medal for her bar and vault. She finished in third place overall. Both girls competed in the Level 4 section.

Mariné Lombaard subsequently ended the club’s achievements on a high note when she received a silver medal for bar and bronze for vault. She was also placed third overall in the Level 4 section.

The coaches, who were selected to accompany their gymnasts at these competitions, are thrilled with this year’s achievements of the senior gymnasts. They now look forward to an even bigger contingent of gymnasts in 2018 as many of the junior gymnasts will move up a level in the new year.
