Soccer should not have borders

These coaches make sure that the social injustices these children suffer are fought by commitment to sports.

Finally, soccer has no borders and no limits. Football Without Borders is a non-profit organisation that uses soccer, boxing and martial arts as tools to combat the societal problems youth face, such as health education, gender inequality, education, leadership and community service.

This unique organisation has programmes in these sports that its coaches combine with life skills and each sport to address a certain theme.

At first, the organisation only focused on Zandspruit and had such great success there that they extended their services to Kromdraai where they now serve the community of the informal settlement.

During their opening day, they entertained more than 50 children with ball games and the children’s once nervous faces lit up.
