One kick is all you need – possibilities

"I can't express the way I feel when I'm in the ring with an opponent. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be able to compete around the country."

Three of the African Karate and Combat Zone’s best kick-boxers entered the Arnold Classics Africa Kickboxing championships earlier this year, and they all finished first.

Under the supreme leadership of Shihan Mosito Mphaphathi, the three, Hopewell Tshabalala, Mogale Matlhoko and Sempai Ishmael Masuku made it to the championships and they were well-prepared, calm and happy.

Hopewell was the U/65kg champion at the Arnold Classics and is proud of his achievements. He said his experience was impossible to describe. “I can’t express the way I feel when I’m in the ring with an opponent. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to be able to compete around the country.” He hopes to become a national champion and would like to become a professional kick-boxer.

Mogale said that everything went smoothly for him, and he won the U/85kg category.

He said he wasn’t the slightest bit worried as he was well-prepared for his fights. He said he enjoyed the experience tremendously and is looking forward to his next challenge.
