Three local tennis players to represent Gauteng
This follows their astonishing performances during the recent district trials.
The Alonso Dominicus Tennis Academy based at the Noordheuwel Country Club is proud to announce that three of its players have been chosen for the Gauteng Inter-Pro team that will compete in the Inter-Pro Schools Tournament later this year.
Rico du Plessis and Heinrich Wasserfal were chosen for the U/13 boys team, and Ryan Maritz was chosen for the U/17 boys team after their astonishing performances during the recent district trials.

Rico, a Laerskool Roodekrans learner, has been playing tennis since the age of four. He also ranks first in the sport in his school, and 56th in his age division in South Africa.
Heinrich is from Curro Independent School and has been passionate about the sport since the age of six. He ranks first in tennis in his school and 23rd in his division in the country.

Last but not least is 14-year-old Ryan from Hoërskool Noordheuwel. He has been playing tennis since he was four and is also ranked first in his school’s junior tennis team.
