Maple Ridge hosts world-class showjumping challenge
For this challenge the jumping course was laid out exactly the same – to the last centimetre – as the ones all the participants have become used to in their own countries, thereby ensuring that all riders compete on an equal platform.
During the weekend of 30 June and 1 July Muldersdrift’s own Maple Ridge Equestrian Farm hosted the FEI World Jumping Challenge.
This showjumping competition for amateur riders presented competitors with the opportunity to compete against international riders on South African soil.

Here are the winners of the Maple Ridge FEI challenge:
Bronze Tour Leg 1 and 2 winners:
First place: Callaho Larike and Rechelle Kloeck
Second place: Brandenburg Crimson Tide with Maple Ridge’s very own Liezl Cloete
Silver Tour Leg 1:
First place: Data Sciences Southern Comfort with Jason Slade
Second place: Whirlwind with Charley Crockart
Silver Tour Leg 2:
First place: Kondos Give Me A Break with Catherine Macfarlane
Gold Tour Leg 1:
First place: Assegai Canterlara with Elize Steenkamp
Second place: Callaho Faith with Thomas Triggol
Gold Tour Leg 2:
First place: Rivendell’s Chancellor with Matthew Morrison
Second place: Locarno Cosmopolitan with Hailey Strydom

The winners of the ‘Series of Legs’ with the most accumulated points will represent South Africa in 2019, where all the winners from all the countries will compete in the final event on borrowed horses.
