Chief Mogale Eagles fly high

Eight Chief Mogale Eagle teams stunned onlookers when they participated in various age divisions.

The Chief Mogale Eagles Academy recently hosted their first ever netball tournament in an effort to raise funds for their teams, the Chief Mogale Eagles.

According to Academy chairperson, Maphefo Dladla, the netball teams were only established a mere six months ago, which is why they need all the support they can get.

In September, eight Chief Mogale Eagle teams stunned the onlookers when they participated in various age divisions.

The results are as follows:

U/10:

First place: Golden Girls

Second place: Chief Mogale Eagles

U/13:

First place: Golden Girls

Second place: Barcelona

U/ 15:

First place: Hurricanes

Second place: Mogale Craniums

U/17:

First place: Barcelona

Second place: Chief Mogale Eagles

Each winning team received a large trophy and prize money. They also announced the best player for each team, which added to some friendly competition.

“I would like to congratulate all the winning teams and best players. I am also thankful for all the coaches who came to support the Chief Mogale Eagles. We are looking forward to our next tournament.” Maphefo concluded.
