Gearing up for first hobby horse tournament
South Africa’s first ever hobby horse tournament is around the corner and it promises to be loads of fun. Do not miss the deadline to enter your hobby horse.

The Riverleigh International Equestrian Centre in Muldersdrift will be hosting South Africa’s first ever Hobby Horse Tournament on 28 April.
Entries for this tournament close on 18 April, so if you want to take part, get on your horse and send in your entries.
Make your own hobby horse and stand a chance to win a prize for the most original hobby horse, the most colourful hobby horse and the most original hobby horse name.
Prizes for the most graceful Piaffe, the best spook, the best buck, the fastest hobby horse and many more are also up for grabs.
In the dressage classes, you can compete as a beginner, an intermediate or advanced rider or even a Grand Prix rider.
No horse riding experience is needed when you compete in the trotting race, the backwards canter race or the canter race.
For those who are in the mood for some other competitive experiences, there will also be apple bobbing, sack races and egg and spoon races.
It doesn’t matter your age or experience, come and enjoy the hobby horse day!
