Arnold surprises Khosa Junior players at 7’s game
The U/11 team walked away with the overall win in the end, netting a R1 000 award after their win against the Roodepoort Rugby Club.
The highly anticipated Arnold Classic Africa made a big splash again this year, hosting a multitude of events.
Although most people associate the Arnold Classic with bodybuilding and weightlifting, the truth is something much more impressive. The event hosts anything from archery to dance, and martial arts to touch rugby.
The Khosa Junior Rugby boys had the honour of participating this year in the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic’s 7’s Rugby Tournament which was held at the Crawford College in Sandton.
Two U/11 and two U/13 teams were entered, and faced off against some strong competition. Some U/12 and U/13 players were also brought into the teams to help develop their skills and also provide them with this amazing opportunity.
The U/11 team walked away with the overall win in the end, netting a R1 000 award after their win against the Roodepoort Rugby Club.
The most exciting moment of the day was when the loud cheers from the crowd signaled the arrival of a beloved face in bodybuilding and the cinema.
Arnold Schwarzenegger himself surprised the young rugby players by walking onto the field to watch their game. This was a day that will stick with these rugby players for many years to come.
