Khosa gears up for the cricket season
Senior practice started on 1 September, but there is always room for everyone at Khosa.
As Spring raises its head, and with the promise of warmer days around the corner, Khosa Sports’ Cricket Club is preparing for the coming cricket season.
Over the years, Khosa has proven that it has an exceptionally strong cricket club, playing most of its matches in the highly competitive Central Gauteng Lions (CGL) league.
Under the expert guidance of Khosa Cricket’s international level coach, AndrĂ© Botha, the club participates in five Sunday men’s sides, two Saturday men’s sides and one ladies’ side throughout the season.
The club has opened its doors and now invites new players to go see what they’re all about and consider joining for some of the best coaching and teamwork on the West Rand.
Practices are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm to 6pm for the different teams. There are also a few junior teams for players aged from four to 13 years with practices on Saturdays from 8am to 11am.
Senior practice started on 1 September, but there is always room for everyone at Khosa. Registration for juniors opens on 7 September. CGL league games will start in October and the season ends at the end of March 2020.
