New and exciting mountain bike series in town

Trail runners and mountain bike riders can look forward to a brand-new series coming to the area.

Something new and exciting is coming to the West Rand. The Kings Kloof 4 Seasons Trail series will be hosting their first event at the end of the month.

They will be hosting one event every season and each event runs over two days.

On 30 November they will be hosting the trail run on Saturday and a mountain bike challenge on Sunday.

On the Saturday there will be a 5km run for which entries will cost R50; a 10km run for which entries will cost R100; and a 21km run for which entries will cost R150.

The mountain bike challenge will also offer three distances – 12km, 25km and 40km – and entries will be R75, R150 and R200 respectively.

Registration will start at 5.30am and the races starts at 7am. Early entries can be done at www.entrytime.com. The whole family is welcome to join and have a fun outing. There will be food stalls, a chill zone for the riders and entertainment for the children.

Kings Kloof is a beautiful area with beautiful routes. Two friends, Deon Steyn and Pierre Kotze, who have been competing in mountain bike races together for many years, decided to start the 4 Seasons series for the local racers.
