Keeping kids out of trouble with soccer
Eight teams recently battled it out on the soccer fields of Kagiso.
Teens from Kagiso recently went head to head in a Top 8 soccer tournament held at the Chief Mogale sports grounds.
The U/15 boys and girls competed between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, 24 April and Sunday, 25 April. The Neo Mzaza Sports development team from Swaneville was the victors of the day.
Not only did the team take home the gold trophy, but each player also received a medal for their win.
“The aim of the tournament was to identify talent, develop children’s skills in sports, and to keep children away from the street to reduce chances of resorting to criminal activities,” explained Neo Maza of the Neo Mzaza Sports development team.
They appeal to the community to support and encourage the children and help them build their soccer careers.
