Nico Swartz, club chair said, “My colleague, Wesley Pretorius and I are confident that the foundation was laid for the road forward. Under leadership of Captain Justin Meintjies, our first team pulled through with a 37–17 win. Good tactical kicking by Zihan Coetzee kept the guys on a good foot. Others of note were Boeta Piater and Justin Meintjies who stopped the opponents’ big players in their tracks with some strong defence work.”

The Khosa first team players who scored were Liaan Perry with two tries, Richard Haasbroek with one try, Quinton Bester with one try, and Zihan Coetzee with one try, three conversions and two penalty kicks.

The Rams XV (second team) won with a 50–10 score, and the Snakes XV (third team) secured a 3–17 win.
