Nico Swartz, club chair said, “My colleague, Wesley Pretorius and I are confident that the foundation was laid for the road forward. Under leadership of Captain Justin Meintjies, our first team pulled through with a 37–17 win. Good tactical kicking by Zihan Coetzee kept the guys on a good foot. Others of note were Boeta Piater and Justin Meintjies who stopped the opponents’ big players in their tracks with some strong defence work.”
