A new home for Berg & Dal this year
The Berg & Dal road race will be held on 12 January with a brand-new start venue. Online registrations can be done until Friday, January 7.
The Krugersdorp Road Runners is a proud running club on the West Rand with a history as far back as the 1970s. It has had a major impact on local social and professional running in the area over the years.
Their premier event of the year, the Berg & Dal Night Race attracts runners of all types from all over, and this year it promises to be bigger and better than in the past.
This year the organisers have taken a significant step toward revitalising the event by introducing a new and challenging route which will be safer for participants.

Berg & Dal used to be hosted in the Krugersdorp CBD but on Wednesday, January 12 the race will start at the Hoërskool Noordheuwel grounds, looping through Noordheuwel and Monument for a challenging 15km route. A social 5km run will also be available for those who wish to take on the hills with family and friends.
With Hoërskool Noordheuwel as the exciting new start venue that allows for a safer race, and medals to be awarded to the first 1 000 finishers, we can’t wait to hear ‘ready, set, go!’” said club secretary Venesa Combrinck.
Online registrations can be done on wwwentrytickets.net/bergendal until Friday, January 7. For further information, contact Vanesa on 082 445 4548. Entries fees: 15km – R120; 5km – R50; with a temporary licence costing R30.
