Magalies Monster for all ages, fitness levels
Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run equate to the perfect family affair.
Families can look forward to an action-packed weekend on the trails at the Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run that will return to the ATKV Buffelspoort (North West province) on Saturday June 4 and Sunday June 5.
Both events boast routes that incorporate the best trails on offer in the Magaliesberg.
“Active families are in for a treat in June,” said Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports.
“Taking place on the Saturday June 4, the annual Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic caters for mountain bikers of all ages and fitness levels. For the serious mountain bikers there is the Full and Half Marathon. For those riders that are looking for bragging rights, there is only one event to enter if your goal is to ‘Conquer The Monster’. Both events, however, boast spectacular routes with amazing views.”
“For those mountain bikers that are just looking for a fun day out, the Fun Ride has your name on it,” continued Michael.
It’s also the perfect event to enter with the kids. The event that generates the most excitement, the Kids Event, will be a fantastic source of entertainment for junior mountain bikers, parents and spectators alike.”
“The fun will continue on Sunday June 5 at the Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run,” added Michael. “With a Long, Short and Fun Run to choose from, trail runners will be spoiled for choice. There is also a 2,5km Kids Event for SA’s up and coming junior stars. Moms and dads are more than welcome to accompany their youngsters on the 2,5km route.”
In closing Michael said, “The action does not stop at the Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and/or Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run. After a fun-filled day, families will still have a host of fun activities to choose from at the ATKV Buffelsport including swimming pools (warm and cold water), jacuzzis, super tubes, trampolines, golf, adventure miniature golf, volleyball, squash and tennis to mention just a few. Mountain bikers and trail runners can look forward to an action-packed weekend away with their loved ones.”
