Novices go head-to-head on the greens
Paul Holton came out victorious and won the Krugersdorp Bowling Club novice tournament by one shot in a sudden death against his wife Daleen.
Krugersdorp Bowling Club on Saturday, January 14 and Sunday January 15 hosted the exciting Club Novice tournament.

According to Krugersdorp Bowling Club spokesperson David Parker, the tournament focuses on players who are considered novice’s and added, ‘a novice is a player that has been playing for less than three years’.

While the stakes were high and the game was not simple due to the ‘Knock out Basis,’ David stated that ‘the calibre of play throughout the tournament was of a high standard’.


At the end of play on Saturday four players were left in the tournament. They were Jerry Hoko, Herman van Zyl, Daleen Holton and Paul Holton.
The semifinals were held on Sunday, which according to David was a game not to be missed.

In the end Paul came out victorious and won the tournament by one shot in a sudden death against his wife Daleen.
