New heights for Krugersdorp Bowling Club

Two members from Krugersdorp Bowling Club are medal winners in a national competition.

Krugersdorp Bowling Club (KBC) has done it yet again, this time on a national level after two of its members excelled at this year’s South African Men’s Nationals.

According to KBC spokesperson David Parker, Wilson Malobolo became the first KBC member to win a national title and gold medal in the Men’s Pairs section while Robby Piketh bagged silver in the Fours section.

“They both certainly kept the KBC flag flying high. As members of KBC, we want to congratulate you both on these fine achievements. Bowls is alive and well KBC,” David said.

David added that Elyses Heine was elected vice president of Sables and convenor of the Ladies District Selection Committee. Melana Selby was appointed treasurer, Andy Selby an executive member and convenor of Sables Coaching Committee as well as a district men’s selector along with David, while Sean Letley is the competition secretary.

In congratulating them, the president of KBC Trevor Leader said it was a great honour for them.

“I wish them all well and a prosperous two-year term in office,” Trevor said.
