They call him Cyborg in rugby circles – half man, half machine.

According to KHS’s head of rugby, Francois Botha, Logan is known for making tackles, charging down kicks, and high-speed foot chases.

He will not only fly the KHS flag but also ensure that Krugersdorp lives up to its formidable reputation producing talented sportsmen,” he said.

The St John’s Easter Rugby Festival is a large-scale annual rugby tournament hosted by St John’s College in Johannesburg. It is a prominent event in the South African schoolboy rugby calendar, attracting teams from across the country and beyond. The festival emphasises sportsmanship, camaraderie and the pure love of the game rather than focusing on league standings or trophies. It is also an opportunity for young and talented players to showcase their skills and open doors to playing for some of the biggest rugby clubs in South Africa.

Logan represented the Golden Lions as recently as November last year when he played for their sevens team in Bethlehem.

He expressed his excitement with the Krugersdorp News.

I am excited as it is my last year of schoolboy rugby, and I hope to make it a memorable experience. I’m looking forward to playing with the Lions team and to representing KHS in doing so.

“There were many rounds to prove myself worthy of the team while keeping up with the school rugby and my matric studies, but I am happy that I am getting this chance.”

Among his other accomplishments, Logan has also been very lucky to have been capped twice for the Gauteng Lions invitational team and was selected to play in the West Rand Sonchini team in 2022.

From there, he was chosen to travel to Italy as part of the Gauteng team in the Tricolour Games with the Department of Education and then achieved his Gauteng provincial colours, and he was awarded best forward player of the year.
