Over 300 gather for fight night with a purpose
More than 300 spectators gathered for a memorable night in Muldersdrift, where a charity-focused boxing tournament combined sport with a powerful message of hope, change and community upliftment.
From the opening bell to the final punch, the atmosphere was electric at the recent Boxing for a Change tournament at Syringa Park in Muldersdrift.
Tournament manager Marlon Dunn said the fight card saw 23 fights and over 300 spectators in attendance.

“This was a charity event and all proceeds went to support the boxers and selected clubs,” he said.
They hosted this tournament to allow boxers to showcase their skills, gain exposure and experience.

“It was satisfying to see how many people were positively impacted, and it was not about cars, clothes or attention. The legacy we wanted to leave was to see how many we could help. The real power was that our presence inspired action and change. We helped people shift their mindset and unlock a new level. We wanted to make them feel seen, heard and uplifted. This impact is the difference between popularity and purpose,” he concluded.
