KHS shows its rugby dominance against Benoni High

It was a good day on the rugby field for Krugersdorp High School who recently won most of their matches against their visitors, Benoni High School.

Krugersdorp High School (KHS) hosted Benoni High on Saturday, May 13 in what was a thrilling day of school rugby action. KHS, however, proved to be dominant by winning most of the games throughout the day.

The U14A started the day for KHS on a high note scoring three tries for a 24-10 victory. The U15A backed that up with an 18-5 win while the U16A displayed a flawless performance beating Benoni 32-0. KHS’ second team then had to work slighter harder but held on to secure a 15-12 victory.

The final game and biggest match of the day was between the two first teams. The game was a spectacular encounter as the spectators were going wild as both teams were grinding it out against each other. However, despite KHS fighting hard in the last moments of the game they lost 25–17 to the visitors.

Both teams’ schools would show great sportsmanship to end a thrilling day of school rugby.
