A masterclass finish for Parktown Boys

Florida suffers a huge loss against Parktown.

The final day of the Best of the West Festival was roaring with excitement as Parktown Boys High’s second team ended their final game with a spectacular win of 52–0 against Hoërskool Florida’s second team.

Despite their defeat against Hoërskool Bekker on Saturday (April 19), the team maintained their composure and capitalised on Florries’ strengths and weaknesses.

Parktown Boys High School coach Kendall Clark explained the consistency in both the team’s discipline when making unforced errors and keeping respect among one another during the game.

“The boys played exceptionally well, and looking forward to our upcoming matches, we want to focus on the basic rugby structures because we know during festivals, players are free to venture out and be a bit more flamboyant with their style of play.

The structures we set need to remain consistent from the beginning of the match until the last whistle. Well done to both teams,” Clark adds.

Florida coach Stefan Coetzee congratulated Parktown Boys High for their stellar performance and added that his team needs to work on things for their upcoming season.
