I just have to tell you about the experience I had at, what is probably my first international press conference last week.

The whole world already knows that a major announcement was made regarding a new fossil find in the Cradle of Humankind. If you do not know what I am talking about, click here.

I was one of hundreds of journalists who were invited to hear the major announcement.

Arriving at the venue I was completely star struck. The who’s-who of media was there, both locally and internationally.

I felt incredible inadequate, however, I must say the reporting that Caxton did about the discovery was truly of higher quality than the rest of the country.

Nonetheless, it was really great to be part of such a historic event because I was reminded again of why my job is so fulfilling.

Despite all the doom and gloom we report about, sometimes, somewhere, we come across a great news and feel story.

Perhaps it is time we started focussing on these stories more?

Just a though …

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
