What is wrong with our rugby?

I feel obliged to jump into this conversation … to join the rest of the country as we ask – what is going on with the Boks?

Look, I know going up against the world’s best rugby team is a challenge on its own. But were the Boks not suppose to give the All Blacks a run for their money, or at least make them fight for the winning title? Were they not supposed to lose with dignity and a fighting chance?

At minute 67, I completely lost it and almost broke our television. I couldn’t watch the game anymore. I just couldn’t.

I know very little about rugby, but I do know one thing – what happened on Saturday afternoon was not what the country signed up for.

I really feel sorry for the players, because in all honesty, I do not think it is their fault.

I think the problem lies with management. But maybe I’m wrong; maybe it does lie with the players, and maybe management is trying its best to reunite a team?

Whatever it is, it’s a big problem and we should stop talking about it and start acting like a team and figure it out. Soon!

This surely is not the end, and the moment they realise that the country is being held hostage by our hopes for our A-side to be back in peak form, perhaps then things will start looking up.

Not all hope is lost … at least the Proteas won the series against Australia …

Come on boys! We are rooting for you!

Until next week, keep on hoping.
