Today in history: Desmond Dube is born

The Clientèle brand ambassador is also a multilingual, award winning, comedian, writer and producer.

South African celebrity Desmond Dube was born on 25 January 1969 and he is the son of well-known actress Lillian Dube.

Desmond is an actor who had a role in well-known films including Hotel Rwanda, Honeville and Long Run, the latter in which he starred opposite the award-winning actor Oscar Nominee Armin Mueller-Stahl.

He appeared in industrial theatre productions for Eskom, Siyabonga and the Aids Show.

The Clientèle brand ambassador is also a multilingual, award winning, comedian, writer and producer.

He played an important role in social transformation through his philanthropic work and is respected as a devoted family man.

Desmond has received the Avanti Award for Best Comedy Actor in Joburg Blues, an Avanti Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Suburban Bliss, a Stellenbosch Festival Best Supporting Actor and Promising Writer Award and Loerie Award for Best Contribution for his role in the SASOL “Amaglug-glug” commercial.
