National shutdown: Hundreds take to Kagiso streets in peaceful march

Police and Mogale City Public Safety remain on high alert as protesters move through Kagiso.

The Krugersdorp News is currently on the scene in Jacobs Street, Kagiso, where hundreds of residents have gathered for what has remained a peaceful march.

The march began at about 11:30 on June 30, as Kagiso residents joined thousands of people across the country taking part in protest action against illegal foreign nationals.

Police and Mogale City Public Safety officials are closely monitoring the situation.
