Brad misses top 10 at Assen despite late charge
Krugersdorp's Brad Binder recovered through the field but a mid-race setback prevented a stronger finish at Assen.
With the MotoGP season nearing its halfway point, Krugersdorp racer Brad Binder missed out on a top-10 finish at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands.
The race took place from June 26 to 28 at the TT Circuit Assen, where Binder finished 11th, about 15 seconds behind Italian rider Luca Marini, who secured 10th place.
According to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, Binder started from 14th on the grid and climbed to ninth, but later dropped to 11th due to tire pressure issues.

MotoGP’s official website reports that he completed 26 laps at an average speed of 174.1 km/h, with a total race time of 40:57.2880, earning five performance points.
Binder described the weekend as “super hard,” but said he remained positive.
“We made steps forward because we were going up the order each session, but we started too far away. The guys made the bike better today, so hats off to them,” he said.
“I felt more comfortable and could push harder. I just need more speed, and we’ll see how we manage Sachsenring,” he added.
Binder is currently 13th in the championship standings and will compete next at the German Grand Prix from July 10 to 12.
