Du Plessis said police responded to a complaint at the scene, where they found Roberts with serious head and facial injuries.

“Witnesses told police they saw Roberts and the man arguing when the suspect allegedly pushed Roberts down the stairs and pinned him to the ground. Bouncers attempted to intervene; however, the man allegedly became extremely violent towards everyone before he was eventually restrained,” she said.

The man was subsequently arrested, and police are continuing their investigation.
