TWO of High School Merensky’s Grade 10 Hospitality learners, namely Jason Jonker and Bernice Cronje took part in the Braai Competition hosted by Duiwelskloof Primary schools’ Tamatiefees.

The competition was tough, and after three hours of intense preparation, it was finally time for the esteemed judges to taste their way to the winning Braai of the day.

Jason and Bernice impressed the judges with their daring menu of “Sweet and Sour Spiral Boerewors”, “Sundried Tomato Calzone”, “Braai Poppers” and grilled vegetables.

Their Plasie stall was eye catching, with a new logo: “All Gold – Ketchup to the Plasie way of life” being a hit with all and sundry.

The Plasie team were awarded an overall second place, well done!
