Tzaneen an ‘unpredictable and non-clichéd’ travel destination
If you are in your 20’s and wish to avoid the throng of tourists while travelling, Tzaneen is the place for you, according to the website Elite Daily.
The town was listed at number 27 in an article featured on the website titled ‘50 Unpredictable and Non-Clichéd Places to Travel to in Your 20s’.
Tourism in Tzaneen was also the focus of the Tzaneen Chamber of Commerce’s monthly meeting that took place on Friday.
Tzaneen is the only town in South Africa featuring on the list that focuses on underrated places to visit to avoid the usual mob of tourists. The only other African town on the list is Zanzibar in Tanzania, coming in at number 44.
“Tzaneen is a tropical town located in the north of South Africa. It’s beautiful and full of natural attractions, including a monkey sanctuary,” the website reads.
Elite Daily boasts more than 40 million unique visits meaning even featuring on the list, albeit at 27, means tremendous exposure for Tzaneen.
Other places featured in the travel guide include Scotland’s Isle of Skye, Brussels in Belguim and the historic town of Budva in Montenegro.
