Best performing schools, teachers and learners awarded
Nkowankowa Circuit held its excellence awards ceremony on Friday at Bankuna High school Hall.
The aim of the ceremony was to recognize the schools, teachers and the grade 12 learners who performed well in 2014 and to motivate the class of 2015.
The theme for the event was “Excellence in Education”.Nkowankowa circuit manager, Doreen Manzini said the day of the ceremony was marked as a special day in the calendar of Nkowankowa circuit.
‘This is a day of bestowing honour to those who made us proud,’ Manzini said. She said such ceremonies are used to steer focus and make learners realise that hard work pays.
She added that the circuit would not be where it is, if it was not for the dedicated teachers. Manzini also thanked the schools that made sure their learners attend morning and afternoon studies. ‘You are doing a great job, keep it up,’ she said.
According to Manzini the circuit has been performing above the national level for the past four years.
