Taxi parking a headache

Recently, an anonymous person has complained to the Letaba Herald about the way public transports park at the Kgapane taxi rank.

The complainant who wished to remain anonymous, highlighted that it is a headache to use Claude Wheatley Street because taxis are always parked on the road. “Those taxis park illegally” said the anonymous complainant. Contacting the Greater Tzaneen Municipality for comment, the spokesperson Neville Ndlala acknowledged that they are aware of the situation at the Claude Wheatley Street. “We are aware of the situation at the Kgapane taxi rank and due to lack of parking space the taxis are forced to park on the street. We are working on it and have engaged with the traffic department to find a solution to this obstruction to traffic on that street” said Ndlala.
