Station hosts 8th entrepreneurship seminar

A lot of aspiring young entrepreneurs from Tzaneen flocked to Polokwane to attend Capricorn FM's annual Entrepreneurship Seminar on Saturday at Meropa Casino and Entertainment centre.

The seminar was held under the theme “Business Opportunities in the Agri-business Sector”, as part of empowering loyal listeners this youth month

More than 500 young aspiring entrepreneurs from all 5 districts of Limpopo attended the 8th Capricorn FM Entrepreneurship Seminar. The station partnered with Great North Transport (GNT) to transport the attendees from Mopani, Vhembe and Waterberg districts.

The youth got to gain more business expertise from carefully selected industry key players, as they broadening their business skills to make a significant contribution to the economy of the province.

Marketing manager, Ntsieni Ramabulana said the station promotes the entrepreneurial spirit within the greater Limpopo region, through relevant on air content that equips these driven, motivated and engaged pace setters. “In line with this, Capricorn FM partners with various institutions to present platforms where business minds meet and exchange ideas on the latest global business trends and opportunities,” said Ramabulana.The attendees of the event were motivated, energised and equipped with information of getting involved and engaged within the agri-business sector through the speakers namely: MEC Seaparo Sekoati (LEDET), Kgampi Bapela (IDC), Teboho Makhetha (Livity Africa), Karabo Kolobe (LEDA), Vivian Kgohloane (SEFA), Polo Radebe (IDF Manager), and Andile Mkhari (Chairman of Capricorn FM and CEO of MSG Afrika Group).

“Capricorn FM has been a symbol of success in the Limpopo province since its inception. With that success, came a responsibility for the station to encourage its listeners to cultivate a progressive and responsible attitude,” added Ramabulana.

Through the sponsorship of Livity Africa and Office of the Premier, the seminar was a success.
