Massive manhunt launched after cash in transit attack

A security cash in transit vehicle and a Sedan that were escorting them, were attacked by armed suspects on the Tarentaalrand road earlier today.

LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said that a massive manhunt was launched for the group of around eight suspects.

According to the Provincial police spokesperson, Ronel Otto, it is alleged that four occupants in silver Mercedez Benz, with an unknown registration number, fired at the cash in transit vehicle three times.

A 9mm Norinco, a 9mm Parabellum pistol, cash and cellphones were taken from the security personnel.
