Papiki Mashapo (23), Thomas Maowasha (23) and Benny Mathaba (24) escaped Phalaborwa cells on Thursday.
Mashapo and Maowasha were killed yesterday in Tzaneen, meanwhile Mathaba is still on the run.
Police found them in a hostel and upon arrival the suspects started shooting at the police.
The police retaliated and Mashapo was killed.
Police found Maowasha away from the scene with multiple wounds, allegedly assaulted by a group of unknown people.
Police investigations are still continuing and the manhunt is still on.
