One of Tzaneen's leading wholesales celebrated 18 years of business on Friday.

The wholesaler celebrated the wonderful occasion with their customers by sharing a cake with them as a token of appreciation.

Tzaneen Cash and Carry, was officially opened to the public on November 9 1998 and has been growing from strength to strength ever since.

The wholesaler started with 35 employees and it currently has about 85 employees of which five of them began with the business from day one.

The five employees are Annanius Mafeto, Jonas Homu, Samuel Mashitwa, Peter Mashao and Hitler Maimela.

Mashao is the liquor section manager and Maimela is now the Wholesale division manager.

“We always strive to give our customers lower prices so they will be able to generate profit in their businesses,” said Ruffat Mokonyane, Marketing manager.

Maimela said he has learned a lot from working in the business and he still has more to learn going forward.

The wholesaler is getting ready for its busiest season, the stokvel period which starts from late November until December of each year.
