BREAKING: Abducted Witbank family found in Phalaborwa, ‘two dead’

One of the medical team members who found the family told the Phalaborwa Herald that 'the mom and sister were found murdered in Witbank this morning.'

A Family of five that was kidnapped in Witbank last Wednesday was found in Phalaborwa.

According to information received, a medical team from Phalaborwa found the family outside town last night.

‘The husband was badly beaten…Other surviving family members were unharmed…’

It is alleged that one of the family members was kidnapped and loaded into the boot of another car.

‘The sister of the family was loaded into the boot of another car,’ Phalaborwa Herald was told.

One of the medical team members who found the family told the Herald that ‘the mom and sister were found murdered in Witbank this morning.’

Details are still uncertain at this stage.

The surviving family members are currently at a well known lodge in Phalaborwa.

Elvis Mongewe, SAPS spokesperson a case of kidnapping has been opened at the Phalaborwa SAPS.

‘The information we have so far is not yet tested and an investigation is under way. We will give details as soon as the detectivesprovide accurate statements, Mongewe said.’

The surname of the family cannot be disclosed at this time as we are not sure if the next of kin has been informed about the tragedy.
