TZANEEN: Opening of bus rank escalators at Tzaneng Mall

Tzaneng Mall launched a new set of escalators linking the lower level shopping and bus rank directly with the main trade level.

The official opening took place on Friday April 7, after months of construction work.

This new set of escalators is situated between Edgars and Exact on the main trade level, and land between Dunns and the Post Office on the lower level.

Suzan Tempel, representative of Resilient Properties, welcomed all attendees and delegates, especially the following councillors, Acting Mayor, councillor Cassius Machimana, councillor Moses Mahasha, Acting Municipal Manager, Benjamin Mathebula, Manager in the office of the Mayor, Sonia Ngobeni, Youth Officer, Collen Mkansi, Communication officer, Patricia Muchabi and student in the communication office, Kgaugelo Letsoalo.

“We are pleased to open this facility to the community of Tzaneen, ensuring that commuting between the lower level trading and the main trade level are safe and effective. We have more developments coming, including a new escalator linking the taxi rank lower level trade and the main trade to each other, and a new exciting entrance for the public at Game, all of which are due later this year,” she said as she welcomed councillor Machimana, acting Mayor to the ribbon cutting.

Machimana opened the ceremony with a few words of thanks to Resilient Properties, “And when you go on improving, like you’re doing, it gives us pleasure to work in partnership with you. Particular in future where all the planned further developments and improvements to create a safer and pleasant experience for the community of Greater Tzaneen. On behalf of Greater Tzaneen Municipality we thank you for your continuous improvement to the facilities in the CBD of Tzaneen.”

All members of the public are invited to use this improvement to their benefit, making Tzaneen a better place.
