TZANEEN: Huge impact on citrus and avo farmers as employees strike

Permanent employees of the Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) picketed outside the Tzaneen offices on Wednesday

It came as a result of the national wage strike, in which employees demanded a wage increase and increased car allowance.

The workers are hoping the exporters will put pressure on management because the strike will have an effect on the exports of food.

It will  also have a huge impact especially on the citrus and avocado farmers of the Tzaneen area.
