Three livestock thieves were arrested and 17 goats recovered at Shawela village in Bolobedu on Thursday May 11.
According to the police spokesperson, Lieutenant T Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe members of the community spotted a white bakkie transporting goats near Shawela village and called the police who reacted swiftly and arrested three suspects aged 25, 28 and 63.
Seventeen goats were recovered.
Four of the goats which have brand marks were immediately identified by the lawful owners.
Thirteen of the goats are still unknown and anyone who has lost goats, may go to Bolobedu Police Station for identification.
The suspects were due to appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate Court soon.
