PHALABORWA: Eskom engages with stakeholders

Ba-Phalaborwa municipality stakeholders gathered to discuss key strategic issues regarding Eskom and the way forward.

Eskom took the effort to visit Ba-Phalaborwa community primarily to address affairs that influence the outcome of the growth of the community such as electrification of villages, capacity constraints, electricity theft and electricity safety procedures.

During the course of the meeting, representatives of various local communities raised their utmost concerns regarding Eskom.

As such, the local management committee was happy to address misunderstandings and therefore committed to look into the raised matters and give positive feedback in the long run.

In the midst of the presentation, the Eskom team outlined that they aim to educate children about electricity and to continue community engagements. Tzaneen Zone Manager, Nare Ngoepe, assured the attendants that their concerns will be acknowledged and will be attended too as a priority in order to resolve them.

“Eskom will continuously seek to reach out to its customers and give continuous excellent service as the staff is always available to assist,” Ngoepe added.

Customer Relations Manager, Thomas Ceko, further elaborated that the Eskom will be available 24/7 for customer related queries.

“Should the query not be resolved, customers are welcome to go to the nearest Customer Service Hub for assistance,” said Ceko.

The Eskom team urged customers to be on the lookout for illegal connections and for those who tamper with metres because these are criminal acts and should be accounted for. For electricity related queries, contact 086 003 7566. For crime relates matters, send an anonymous SMS to 32211.
