HOEDSPRUIT: Help police find rape suspects

Police are on the lookout for two suspects who allegedly raped a girl on Friday, September 8.

Acornhoek Police are on the lookout for two suspects who allegedly raped a 15 year-old girl at Loa Hotel on Friday, September 8.

“According to information the girl was at the hotel with her sister and friends at around midnight when she asked her friends to accompany her to the restrooms and upon returning she discovered that her sister had left and decided to walk back home,” Captain Mpho Nonyane, Acornhoek Police Spokesperson said.

It is alleged that while walking home, the girl together with her friends met four men at Delacasa who pointed knives at them.

“It is alleged that the girls ran, and while running, the victim fell to the ground and was dragged to nearby bushes and raped by two of the four men while her friends got away,” added Nonyane.

No arrests have been made yet and the police urge anyone with information to assist them by reporting the suspects to their nearest police station.
