A male motorbike rider sustained serious injuries after it is believed that he lost control of his motorbike on the R71 between Gravelotte and Phalaborwa in the early hours of Sunday morning.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 01:30 in the morning, they found the motorbike rider lying off the roadway.

Upon further assessment, paramedics found that the man sustained serious injuries.

ER24 transported the man to the hospital for further medical care.
