Eighteen months for stock thief

The Lenyenye District Court sentenced a 42-year-old man for various stock theft cases on Thursday, August 16.

Moagi Masilo Samuel was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment of which eight months is suspended for a period of five years, on condition that the accused will not be arrested for theft of stock or produce, during the suspension period according to Section 103 (1) Act 60/200 and no order is made.

On one of his past offenses he was sentenced to three months imprisonment or to pay a fine of R1 500 for a Hoedspruit crime and he was charged of a similar crime in Phalaborwa in 2013.
