Tzaneen: Your weekly crime update

Police in Tzaneen have arrested 32 people for various criminal activities over the past week.

According to Captain Joseph Moseri, seven people were arrested for shoplifting, five people were arrested for common assault and one person for being found in possession of dagga.

Five people were arrested for assault with the intent to cause Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), one person was arrested for residential burglary, four people for general theft and one person for house-breaking.

One person was arrested for common robbery, one person was arrested for the violation of a protection order, two people for assualt by threats, two people were arrested for murder and two for accusing someone as a witch.

Meanwhile in Lestitele the police have arrested 20 people for different criminal activities over the past week.

According to Constable Lisbeth Khosa, nine people were arrested for GBH, one person was arrested for common assault and intimidation and one person for common assault and the contravention of a protection order.

Two people were arrested for burglary, one person for child negligence, one for rape and one for general theft.

One person was arrested for extortion and GBH, one for attempted murder and two people for common robbery.
