Fun in the sun for Plasies

37 Grade 10 and 11 Hospitality and Tourism students from Merensky High School took a trip to ATKV Klein Kariba near Bela-Bela, for a site visit.

The marketing manager, Riaan Maritz, explained in detail how they make use of social media to obtain a satisfying occupancy rate.

He launched an impromptu competition on Instagram and the following Plasies, who captured ‘life at Klein Kariba’ the best, received a Klein Kariba gift pack: Canell Jackson (winner), Nina Grové, Laché van der Westhuizen, Marissa de Wet, Jeandré Joubert and Leandré Niewoudt.

After a late lunch it was time for fun in the sun.

The learners enjoyed all the amenities before they had to board the bus home.

The trip definitely fulfilled its educational purpose of awarding the Plasies an insight into the daily operation of all the departments necessary to run a busy and successful resort.
