Seasoned driver, Moshikaro Moagi defended his Mopani District Driver of the Year title at Tzaneen Traffic Testing Station last Saturday.

Moagi from Bokgaga Ga Maake, who is the LDV category winner, outsmarted 47 other drivers from five different categories to retain the title and crowned an overall champion in the competition organised by the Provincial Department of Transport.

The Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure official, Moagi who is based at the Tzaneen Cost Centre said his focus is now on winning the Provincial Driver of the Year Competition which will be held next month.

The Assistant Director for Road Safety in the Department of Transport, Samuel Maluleke said the purpose of the driving completion is to encourage drivers to enhance their driving skills. He said the competition is open for drivers, employees and officials from both public and private sector.
