Letsitele: Businessman took his own life after killing local teacher

A businessman allegedly took his own life after shooting his girlfriend at Ntsako village outside Letsitele yesterday morning, January 8.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the victim, Yvone Mushwana (40), who is an Educator at Nyatshiri Primary School, was with her boyfriend at the village next to the local scrap yard.

“People heard gun shots from where the two were standing. They immediately went to investigate and they found Mushwana lying dead on the ground and the boyfriend ran away and disappeared,” Ngoepe said.

The boyfriend, Khashane Willy Malatji (45) was found dead in his house at Nkowankowa with a firearm lying next to his body.

Police investigations are ongoing.
